I would like to pay for the booking fee, is that possible?

Yes! In account settings, you can switch your booking fee to "Artist pays" which will deduct the fee from your deposit and payments before it gets sent to your bank account.

At the moment, our Payments feature only supports "Client pays", but we'll be adding "Artist pays" soon!

Is this a bait and switch? How does Venue make money?

Not a bait and switch! We designed pricing this way to make it easier for artists to get started and open and close their books whenever you need.

We make money by adding a few percent on top of the card processing fee. To give an example, if you take a $50 deposit, your client will pay $55. You'll get $50 deposited into your bank account and we get $5 to cover everything, including card processing, notification costs, server costs, and our team.

How quickly do I get paid?

If your bank is based in US or Canada, your payouts arrive in 1-2 business days with the option to use instant payouts for a small fee. For banks outside of US or Canada, payouts usually arrive in 1-2 business days, but in some cases can take 2-3. We're working closely with Stripe to increase payout speed for all countries!

Why do I have to contact you to subscribe? Can I cancel anytime?

We haven't automated the process for the Studio and Solo (subscription) plans yet, so we'll send you a Stripe subscription link and then help you set up your account. If you're interested in subscribing or have other questions, shoot us a DM.

I'm an artist but I also run a studio, is Venue right for us?

We certainly are! Our studio features started because of feedback from artist owners like you. If you're still booking on your own AND want to manage the studio, you'll have to create two accounts—one for yourself and one for the studio. We'll help you with that when you're ready to get set up with us.

As a studio, can I add and remove artists whenever?

Yes, just tell any of our artist concierges and we'll add and remove artists to the studio as you need. You'll be able to invite and remove artists from your studio account later this year.

Is there a free trial for studios?

Absolutely! Your first month is free for all artists under your studio account. You'll also have access to our artist concierge 7 days a week to help you with any set up.

Do you have more studio features coming?

Yes, we're building out our studio features and plan to add payroll with automatic commission split, guest spot management, and more to help cut out admin for studio owners!
